Tips for Elevating Your LinkedIn Profile
Add a banner/background image
Make sure that this banner or background image is of you speaking or working with a client to grab attention and showcase your personality. If you've done workshops or actual speaking engagements this should be easy to grab.
Highlight Your Thought Leadership
LinkedIn now asks for its users to give their own advice via their articles. Take 30 minutes to answer 3-4 of these. A lot of the content that we've already shared on your social accounts and in your voice, can simply be repurposed into answers for these articles.
Verify Your Account
Verify your account with Clear. Unlike Instagram, it's not hard to get a verification check on LinkedIn, and it adds an extra layer of credibility to your profile.
Request New Recommendations
Get people to comment on your work as a "thought leader" in your space.
Update the Job History Sections
Use your resume to do this. Each job listed should have a short summary of what you did and what you achieved in that role. You can copy and paste directly from your resume for each of the roles you're sharing.
